4.   The ss copy the notes.
5.   Exercise: Mark the errors one made in his essay.

The ss understood the concepts of compare and contrast. Nevertheless, they could not complete their homework. They were asked to finish the homework in class. There was around 50% of them could make correct sentences with the phrases or expressions learnt.

d.      The ss are given 10 minutes to write a concluding sentence based on the sample paragraph discussed.
e.       All of the ss write their answers on the whiteboard.
f.       Correction and discussion on the answers.
g. The teacher gives the instruction on homework: Write a complete paragraph for the second factor of online dating scams or second way to overcome it.

The selected ss who wrote the sample paragraph did not master fully the skills to develope ideas in a paragraph of  the body part. He failed to include a concluding sentence which is important to stress the topic and idea in the paragraph for a persuasive essay. They are asked to write a concluding sentence based on the sample paragraph. Clearly,  they still needed drilling exercise on writing a paragraph based on the answers given.

4K7: The ss enjoyed the group work. They managed to write a paragraph with complete ideas, though with serious grammartical errors. They needed the full assisstance of the tr in order to finish the exercise.
4K4: They had better understanding towards the subject chosen according to groups. They needed to improve on the grammar aspect and ways to organize ideas in a paragraph. More discussion will be carried out on this topic in the next lesson.

Reflection
The ss identified the ways of concluding correctly. They only answered wrongly for the two examples discussed. One of them showed a combination of methods used, but it was acceptable. Anyway, they had the difficulty to understand the topics and use each different methods to conclude a paragraph. More discussion will be carried out in the next lesson.

50% of the ss were able to follow the lesson and do the exercise given without constant facilitation of the tr. Conversely, the rest did not sure what to do, but they managed to do it after the further explantion and examples provided by the tr.
