Satisfactory. Some of the students showed their efforts by looking for the related materials based on the previous discussion. On the other hand, the text had been clearly illustrated in a mind-map form. The students were also able to ask questions accordingly.

  2. Know the steps to write an essay outline by referring to the example essay outline made during the discussion.

1.        The teacher recaps the previous lesson by asking the ss. to write out at least one idea generated on the blackboard.
2.        Discuss the answers.
3.        Copy the relevant answers sfter the correction.
4.        The teacher gives instruction on the exercise of writing the essay outline.
5.        The teacher discusses the steps to form the essay outline.
6.        The students copy the suggested essay outline.
7.        Homework: The students write the essay individually.

The students were still blurred in generating ideas. The teacher re-explained the skill by facilitating them to use WH-questions. They found that it was easier.

Reflection
The students failed to form relevant and cohesive ideas. They found that it was easier to do after applying the skill of answering WH-questions. However, they still needed the guidance of the teacher to form the essay outline. They are asked to complete the essay as  a homework.

Most of the students were able to express one’s opinion clearly. They are advised to adopt the relevant ideas one found online or in any printed material and adapt it with the topic one had chosen. They should be managed to explain in their own words instead of reading the information through total lifting.
