Satisfactory feedback. There was one student who was unsure with the main idea of the article. He, finally, understood after the discussion.

  2. form a sentence for each expression learnt.

1. The teacher briefs the students about the Form Four syllabus and plan of the year for English lessons.
2. The teacher discusses the concept of compare and contrast with the ss.
3. The ss copy the notes.
4. The ss give appropriate expressions of compare and contrast without
    reference.  
5.  Homework: Build a sentence for each expression learnt.

Reflection
The students were not responsive. There were only around 20% of them participated during the discussion. The rest paid attention to the teacher.

4K4: The ss were quite passive for this first lesson. They knew what to do after listening to the examples given by the teacher. But, there were still few students i.e. around 10% did not understand the task. Further explanation was given to them personally. It was taken home as homework.

Teaching Aids
The article used in the previous lesson ( How to avoid online dating scams?), paper strips.
Reflection
The ss were able to give different interpretation towards the word ‘forum’ correctly. However, they were confused with the exact task for the role chosen. The ss understood better after the teacher’s explanation. They are advised to look for more information on the topic and role given. The group presentation will be performed in the next lesson.
